5. World Championships Tokyo 2011
General schedule
Competition I will have a later start time for the first subdivision each day than the 2010
World Championships because of the decreased total numbers. This will be a better
condition for the gymnasts.
Some small time modifications have also been made for Competition III.
Judges instruction preparation
All TC members need to be prepared to show 4-5 D and E routines on each apparatus
during the first meeting in Tokyo. Make an effort to find special examples and elements with
recognition problems. The accuracy of each presentation must be checked thoroughly.
There must absolutely be no new interpretations.
Drawing of lots
The draw was completed in Tokyo two days before the start of these meetings.

7. Code of Points 2013 2016
Evaluation of the FIG Symposium June 17-19, 2011, Zurich, SUI
Comments from the FIG Presidential Commission members were discussed.
MTC post-Symposium general comments
-
Pommel Horse: There are limited solutions to some of the current issues.
-
Rings: There is no easy solution to the overuse of strength elements. Increasing
swing element values could cause more injury problems. Maybe reduce the
maximum number of strength elements in a sequence from 4 to 3.
-
Vault: It is possible to decrease every vault D score by one point for final score
equality with other apparatus.
-
Vault: Group I and II could be combined
-
Parallel Bars: no suggestions
-
Horizontal Bar: Try to eliminate monotony, number of independent elements is a
factor.
MTC member assignment- (deadline mid-August) Send suggestions to the MTC president
for the new Code of Points regarding your apparatus and any general comments. Use
proposals presented or discussed at the recent symposium.
The new Code of Points draft will need to be completed by end of year.
