2. Seating arrangements: the seating arrangement was adjusted
several times on different days immediately preceding the start of
competition. Recommend the Superior Jury be seated on the level
above the judges to avoid disruptions or confusions during the
competition
3. There was a concern regarding some miscommunications between
the FIG and TC President. There was a meeting scheduled with the
FIG President and the Reference Judges during the same time as a
Judges' Meeting led by the RG TC. All judges, including Reference
Judges, must be present in all Judges' Meeting and the TC President
must be included in any additional meetings.
4. The President of the TC suggested that it be possible for members of
the TC to be invited by an Organizing country as members of the
Superior Jury.
c. World Championships format: following the meeting of Athlete Representative Vera
Sesina with the athletes, a second recommendation to have the Organizing
Federation place 3 reserve apparatus for all exercises on 3 sides of the competition
floor and to consider each gymnast competing 2 apparatus per day (ideally in two
parallel halls) for Competition 1 instead of only 1 per day which is extremely difficult
for the athletes, especially those who advance to Competition 2 and 3.
d. Evident progress in many countries and improved level of compositions (EGY, RSA,
THA, MNE, etc.).
e. Overall better music selection
7. Technical Regulations
a. Continued review of the Tie-Breaking Rules for clear understanding and
consistency
b. Recommendations for 2013 Specific Judges' Rules for Rhythmic Gymnastics were
sent to the FIG for approval
8. 2012 Test Event/Second Olympic Qualification
a. The TC reviewed the rules for Qualification for the Second qualifying event and
there were concerns and questions about the participation rights, especially in the
case of countries who only participated with one gymnast in the First Qualifying
event (2011 World Championships) but, by the system, can participate with a
second gymnast in the Second Qualifying event (the Second Qualifying event
becomes the First Qualification for a gymnast in this case). President Grandi
understood the concerns but it is not possible to change any rules at this time. In
this case, the list was accepted as prepared.
b. Recommendations will be made for revisions to these rules for the next Olympic
cycle to encourage more universality
c. 1 panel of judges: recommend neutral judges
