iii. Reference Judges: recommend further review of the judges selected so that

qualification (or are strong contenders for Olympic qualification) are not
represented by two judges in the World Championships
b. Meeting with President Bruno Grandi and Andre Gueisbuhler. Topics discussed:
i. Reserve apparatus: The Work Plan allowed for each athlete to have more
reserve apparatus above the minimum due to the raised competition
podium, which is not the typical situation for rhythmic gymnastics
competition. The FIG RG TC understood in 2010 that the Organizing
Committee would have a clear barrier placed along the edge of the podium.
There was no clear barrier upon arrival, and so the President of the RG TC
suggested the Organizers place a set of reserve apparatus on each line to
remain for each competitor. This system was used effectively at the 2010
Youth Olympic Games, which also took place on a raised podium. This
system reduces the interference of different coaches and athletes moving on
and off the podium after each exercise.
ii. Working conditions of the Technical Committee
1. Although the President of the Superior Jury can intervene only in the
case of inquiry, it is recommended that she see each score as it is
entered (instead of when it is published on the score board) in order
to note any judging discrepancies, possible errors, etc.
